Summer Dance Camp at Pigeon Lake
2014 - August 17 (Sunday) to August 24 (Sunday)
Guest Choreogpher from Poland
Youth 10 to 14 years of age are welcome.
For youth 14 years and older we require that they have dance
experience and a letter of recommendation from the ensemble or dance school.
Can you imagine an outdoor setting, meeting people your age with
the same interests? Swimming? Sun basking? Fun competitions? Playing
outdoor sports? And more...
Cracovia Folklore Dance Studio makes this scenario a reality.
Our summer Dance Camp takes place at the scenic Pigeon Lake, only 50
minutes south of Edmonton. A team of professionals, educated in
folklore and dance, combine the art of dancing and summer sports
with plenty of fun. The end results are improved dancing abilities,
great memories and new friendships.
The Summer Dance Camp has already gained an excellent reputation since
1990 for its combination of professional expertise and fun filled
activities.
Accommodation in heated cabins, hot showers.
Own kitchen serves three meals daily plus snacks.
Plan of activites:
Seperate workshop for beginners and advanced groups.
*Classical Dance Technique
* National and Regional Polish Dances
* Special dance sessions with Polish Guest Choreographers
* Organized play and sports activites:
volleyball, soccer...
* Swimming and Canoeing
* Daily evening camp fires
* Open house for guests and parents
* Special rehearsals with Polish Choreographers
REGISTER EARLY, SPACE IS LIMITED!
Things to bring:
*Sleeping bag, warm blanket, pillow, sheets
*Swimming gear
*Camping clothes (jeans, underwear, socks, etc.)
*Warm jacket, sweater, two pairs of shoes (runners)
*Towels, Toiletries (comb, toothbrush, soap, etc.)
*Rainwear (hooded raincoat, boots)
*Ballet Shoes (or similar shoes)
What to leave at home:
*All valuables, radios or anything electric
*Alcohol and cigarettes are forbidden
